Each territory or province in Canada has its own requirements and streams. The program stream or the province and the terri tories usually target the students, business owners, skilled workers or semi-skilled workers.
Choosing a province or territory
You must select a province or a territory to apply before as each province and territory has its own requirements. Below is the list of the province and territories you can select:

Options for the application process
The application process is usually done either from the paper-based process or the online process through the express entry.
Paper-based process
Under the paper-based process, you need to apply under a non-express entry system to a province or a territory. Eligibility requirements have to be met by you of the province that nominates you. Once you are nominated, you have to submit a paper application to IRCC for permanent residence. There are 2 checks that must be done, the first is the medical examination and the second is the police check.
Express Entry process
Under the express entry process, you can apply in two ways:
The first is, Under the express stream, you contact the province or the territory and apply for the nomination. If you are nominated by a province or a territory, then you can create an express entry profile and show that you have been nom inated.
The second way , is you create the express entry profile and then show the provinces and territories that you are interested in. If you receive a notification of interest from the province and territory in your account , then contact the province or terr itory directly and apply to their express entry profile.
Whichever way you select to apply through the express entry system, you must meet the eligibility and the criteria of that part icular province. I f you receive an invitation to apply then you have to submit an electronic application to IRCC.
